5 Bedroom House in Le Cannet
The house is completely renovated in recent years in top quality materials. All 5 bedrooms are, we think, gorgeous with indvidual decor and all of similar sizes. The bathrooms are equipped with amazing (rain) showers. The house is built in Nouveaux Bourgois style and the interior decoration matches it being 'modern chic'. Still, being Scandinavians we like to cosy things a bit up which you will hopefully find in the the soft furnishing, the abundant candle sticks the art works and decor in general.
We fell in love with the property because it is really pretty and architecturally super well designed for family holidays or holidays with friends. The location is simply fantastic. It is centrally placed for the airport in Nice, only 25 minutes by taxi or car. 10 min from the Croissette in Cannes and Rue d'Antibes, which can be walked to easily 30-40 min casually or in an Uber (ca. 10 Euro). And then the best part: The house is really close to the village centre of Le Cannet and this little village has a complete life of its own, with art galleries, food shops, boulangeries for your morning croissants and lovely bistros situated around the prettiest little square you can find, shaded by large platanes. It is such a perfect spot for a drink before dinner in one of the quaint bistros.
You enter our Villa Lion to a large open living space with a big dinner table and a lovely cosy sofa area. You have direct access to a covered terrasse and the beautiful pool from the living room. The ground floor also have 2 bedrooms that share a shower room with a glorious rain shower head, which is divine to have a shower in. On the ground floor there is an extra guest toilet as well.
You further find the fully equipped kitchen with direct access to the terrasse. On the terrasse you have the lovely view to a brand new swimming pool of a good size, with gradual steps down in one end and also a small 'seating area' to the side of the pool. The pool area and garden are guarded by tall tree and hedges and not overlooked. It is quiet because it sits a little above the road. There is a lovely view to the hills and to the sea and Cannes, Croisette/ beach is 4 km away by winding roads (easy drive or easy taxi or even bus) probably 2km in direct view line.
You move to the upstairs floor either via the house elevator or via the beautiful staircase with it's wrought iron bannister. On the landing is a seating area and 2 french doors leading directly to a stunning terrasse where drinks before or after dinner can be taken with a fantastic view to Cannes and the sea.
At one side of the floor, you have access to the two upstairs guest bedrooms, sharing a shower room.
At the other end there is the master bedroom with a very big bathroom with double sinks area and a freestanding bath as well as a big shower.
There is built in wardrobes or chest of drawers in all of the rooms. In the master bedroom there is a walk-in closet. There is a private terrace for the master bedroom and the views in the mornings from the bed are stunning.
The house is air-conditioned and upstairs there are manual shutters to keep that lovely sun out when you don't want it. Downstairs has electric shutters.
Furthermore there is an elevator in the property which is really handy for carrying groceries or wine to the kitchen. It goes from the garage til ground floor and even directly to the master bedroom.
To the back of the house there is a lovely terrasse with a big wooden table and lovely deep rattan chairs. Here you can enjoy the morning sun and it is cooler in the afternoons when the sun is at the other side of the house.
There is a handy pizza oven (gas fuelled Uuni oven) and it can be taken from the garage at your convenience if you are in the mood for the best homemade pizzas ever.
