Large Detached Guest House on a beautiful property that is located in the middle of the Santa Monica Mountains. The Guest House has 4 separate rooms, Kitchen / TV Room (with trundle bed) / Downstairs large Bedroom with queen bed, and Bathroom. One of our reviewers wrote "Best Guest House for the money in Topanga.. we checked them all..." It has decks overlooking views of the trees and the seasonal creek below, you really are in the middle of nature. It is located next to Topanga State Park with nearby access to trails that meander through 1000s of acres of undeveloped wilderness. The Santa Monica Mountains are the largest wilderness area within a city in all of the United States.. think Central Park times ten thousand... Topanga canyon connects the San Fernando Valley to the Paciific Ocean. We are a 6 mile / 15 minute drive to Topanga State Beach, or 7 miles to the Valley, about an hour to Hollywood or Downtown. Topanga Canyon is an independently minded community that has always set itself apart from most of Los Angeles. Topanga has great restaurants, coffee shops and one of a kind shops, but what most people gravitate to here is its natural beauty. Wake to the sounds of birds before you head out on the trails. We have two mountain bikes available for your use, or bring your own. If you like to hike, or bike you can ask Tom our Pro Mountain Bike Guide where to go. Or if you want to hire him he will take you there.... if you can keep up. We like families, the house comfortably sleeps 4 in real beds or more if willing to sleep on an aero bed. One of our guests specifically told us that our shower was a "selling point", the water pressure and volume is excellent. We are okay with a pet as long as they are friendly and will get along with our tail wagging girl Carly. There is a full Kitchen with a beautiful Antique Wedgewood Stove. We live in the Main House that is located on the same property, and are available for questions about the area, or just to leave you alone to enjoy your peace and quiet.
