On a quiet road in Callian, between the open fields, you will find Villa La Mayanne. The villa was named after the little water stream that borders the garden.
From the driveway and the electric gate you can see the impressive villa, authentic in style with blue shutters. Two cars can park under the wooden structure and there are several more places in the driveway. The garden is 3200 m2 and surrounds the house with a large piece of grassland, where children can play freely, a jeu de boules area, the pool terrace and the covered terrace attached to the house. There is all kinds of vegetation such as flowers and herbs, a palm tree but also higher pine trees and broadleef trees that provide the necessary shade in the summer.
The pool measures 8m by 4m and is 1.6m deep throughout. Accessing is easy with large steps. Around the pool you will find comfortable sunbeds and a large parasol. The pool terrace is located a few meters from the covered terrace so that you can easily contact while dining or preparing food. Under the covered terrace is an huge shiny table, originally from a yacht. It can easily accommodate up to 12 people here. The seats are also very comfortable. The kitchen is directly connected and there is also an electric Weber grill available. That promises to be delicious!
We enter the house through the front door next to the kitchen. A hall leads us to the living room. The grandeur with an open wooden beam truss in the ceiling immediately catches the eye. It almost gives the feeling of being in a castle! Large cozy sofas are put around a fireplace insert. There is a parquet floor combined with carpet. An open staircase in the living room will take us upstairs, but first we continue to the room next to the living room. The wooden doors with round arches are typical of the house. In the room there is a small dining table, which can be combined with the one of the living room to form one large one. This in case there would be a colder evening and you prefer to eat inside with the whole company. You find also a TV corner. On the other side of the hall is the kitchen, with a lot of built-in cupboards containing the fridge and freezer. Everything is provided such as a dishwasher, induction hob, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, filter coffee machine and all the small kitchen equipment you could need. At the kitchen there is a bar, easy for the morning coffee or a nice drink while cooking. The door opens onto the covered terrace.
On the north of the house, also on the ground floor, there are 2 bedrooms. Both with a double bed, large closet space and a desk. The rooms do not have air conditioning, but they do have ceiling fans. Because they face north, it stays pretty cool in the summer. In one of the bedrooms is a solid wooden baby cot. The bathroom between the two rooms is shared and has a double sink and bath. In the hallway you will find a separate toilet.
We go up the stairs in the living room. Here are the other 2 bedrooms. Again you have the feeling to be in a castle. The floor has wall-to-wall carpet. The ceiling shows again the wooden beams. In the master bedroom you find a double bed, a separate dressing room, TV and a private bathroom with double sink and shower. The other bedroom has a double bed, closet space and a desk. The rooms on the first floor are equipped with fans. All windows have mosquito screens against the mosquitoes.
